An aim of public ethnography is making academic research available to public audiences in a variety of ways. The film project Life Off Grid did just that. The film screened at film festivals and is now available through Video on Demand. Phillip Vannini and Jonathan Taggart had constant media coverage while they traveled to each of Canada’s provinces and territories to document the lives of approximately 200 people who live off the grid, in a home or community disconnected from the https://florafox.com/kz/alma-ata-113 and natural gas infrastructure. During their travels and afterwards, Vannini and Taggart kept a blog and wrote the book Off the Grid.
